Rick Fowler is one of the founding members of the thriving northern New Mexico music scene. He moved from Texas to Red River in the mid 70's and was a member of the influential Texas/NM bands Three Faces West and The Great American Honky-Tonk Band.

A short list of the artists who have recorded Rick's compositions include Gary P. Nunn, Jerry Jeff Walker, Hoyt Axton, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and The Lost Gonzo Band. In all the years and miles of touring in various bands (M.M. Murphey, Junior Brown, Nunn, and Hank Thompson), Rick has played venues from Long Island to Long Beach, highlighted by appearances at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
