Burning Joan was a Taos-based folk-rock group based around Kim Treiber and Kirsten Parsons whose heart-felt, powerful songwriting and sparkling duo vocals were augmented by several area musicians, including Chipper Thompson and Don Richmond, each on numerous instruments. Their topical, issues-oriented songs continue to move and resonate with audiences and fans throughout the region.
